For centuries folk dancers in the Taurus mountains and in Bulgaria have danced to folk music with these spoons hand carved from boxwood tree trunks. Today we see that they are also used in contemporary dancing shows by belly dance performers and even Zumba dancers. Sourced directly from the Taurus Mountains/Silifke region of Turkey these hand-carved boxwood spoons cannot come more authentic. Unvarnished, unpainted and only sanded these spoons retain the original sound qualities of the boxwood spoons. We pack them in sets of 4 spoons.
